History of Hawaii Religion
Significant role in the life of Hawaiian society has played a religion. Any action whether it be building a house or before the battle, accompanied by religious ceremony. Religion consisted in the worship of the forces of nature and the spirits of ancestors. Gods personified the various forces of nature.
There were many gods, but among they can distinguish three main: Cane (Hawaiian Kane), the god of light and life; Womb (Gavaysk. Loon), god of harvest; Ku (gavaysk. Ku), god of war.
