Climate & Weather
With its year-round balmy climate, remote spots and gorgeous scenery, Hawaii is an ideal place to pitch a tent and enjoy the outdoor life of the camper. For those who cherish the feeling of rolling out of a tent to see the first rays of the sun lighting a patch of ocean, there may be no better place.
There are numerous places to camp out on all of the major islands in the state, as well as cabins and hostels for those who seek some shelter. Many beach parks allow oceanfront camping, but spaces may be limited to just a few tents. Visitors
may be surprised to see that many local campsites are reserved long in advance by local residents, particularly on weekends and holidays. Hawaiians love the outdoors, and frequently spend their holidays camping out with the whole extended family on a remote beach.
