Diving in Kauai
OCEANARIUM: 70 to 130 feet - Advanced
Three huge peaks and crevices with balconies rise up 70 feet from the surface. Traveling outside of one of the tops for a spectacular wall dive. You will find black coral, sponges and colorful fish species such as rare "morons" and "boarfish. Dolphins, manta rays and barracuda swimming in blue water adjacent.
GENERAL STORE: 60 to 90 feet - Intermediate to advanced
You'll find a little of everything, the remnants of a shipwreck in the 1800s, trees of black coral, the intriguing rock formations and caves vibrant marine life. The sea turtles, mantas and sharks are occasional visitors.
SHERATON CAVERNS: 30 to 60 feet - Novice to Intermediate
You will tighten greeted by two friendly turtles: Pepe and Lapua. These will be
guided to the cave's most popular Kauai. Along the reef, a community of eels accustomed to being hand-fed swimming with crawfish, shrimp and a variety of reef fish.
EDGE Brenneke: 50 to 90 feet - Advanced
A lava shelf with several balconies is the home of black coral, invertebrates, colorful shells, lobsters and moray eels. Search the fish hawk who hides in the coral.
NI'HAU ': 40 to 130 feet - Advanced
This small private island is located 17 miles west of the coast of Kauai. The local saying that diving is such that there decades. Visibility over 200 feet. Diving is possible only 80 days per year, mostly in the summer months.
