The 'Aloha Week, a week of festivities and local folklore that rotation starring all the islands in the period between September and October. Each year in December in the waters between Maui, Molokai and Lanai, the Pacific thousands of whales returning to their winter paradise for food and reproduce.
On Maui, the leading global organization for the protection of whales in collaboration with local organizations, offers boat trips to the sightings. In April, the Merrie Monarch Festival is held, the most prestigious hula competition in Hawaii in May while she goes on stage on Day, a challenge to the best composition of flower
garlands. Parades and music at the King Kamehameha Day, official state holiday.
