Hanauma Beach

Hanauma Beach is a curved bay was declared a conservation area to protect marine life, also having a water park, all of them since 1967. It is one of the best and most protected sites if you are new to technical diving, either with air cylinders as a tube, where you can enjoy the rich marine life and huge coral reefs. More advanced divers can also enjoy the beauty of the bay reef extending to greater depths and distant from the protected area. The floor of the bay is actually the crater of an ancient volcano that erupted long ago.

We can find a sandy beach that is perfect for sunbathing,

relaxing and picnicking. There are several hiking trails along the coast and areas of extreme beauty with incredible landscapes. The curvature of the bay usually provides protection against large ocean waves and allows swimmers a good opportunity for viewing marine life and seabed. However, we must always be outstanding ocean conditions at all times and obey the lifeguards notices and posters.

It is a conservation area and there are some rules you must follow, such as not bring pets to the beach, no alcoholic beverages, not to fish or feed the fish, and of course, interact with marine life in any way . On the beach there are lifeguards, showers, toilets, picnic areas with tables, grass, shade and plenty of parking. There are places where we can rent all the equipment you need for diving in the area, although we must keep coral reefs in the same way that we found. There are facilities to learn more about Hanauma Beach and all it offers, and indeed, visitors are required to see an educational documentary on marine life and preservation before descending to the beach.
