Hawaii Volcanoes
These so-called Hawaiian shield volcanoes are the largest in the world. The mightiest in height is called the Mauna Kea and measured from the origin to peak around 9000 meters. The other hand, is the most massive volcano Mauna Loa, the only slight differences in size to the Mauna Kea has.
The volcanoes on the island of Maui and Hawaii are considered by researchers as not extinct, though its last eruption was in historical times, since during the Kilauea since 1983, is permanently active, and the Mauna Loa restless. Both are the most active volcanoes in the island chain.
