Swimming in the Waimea Bay in the north of Oahu
A beautiful bay on the Oahu Waimea Bay on the north coast. It is named after the Waimea River, which flows there into the sea. Another interesting place in the Waimea Valley is Waimea Falls.
In the quiet summer months, the Waimea Bay for swimming in a beautiful setting. In winter, from an excursion into the cold water but strongly discouraged. The winter brings stormy waves and dangerous currents in the Waimea Bay. Even experienced surfers will think twice whether they should venture into this cauldron.
In summer and in light
of local information makes swimming in Waimea Bay, but fun. The nearby Waimea Bay Beach Park offers facilities such as showers, toilets and picnic corners. Even lifeguards are deployed.
Tip: During the summer, the Waimea Bay on the one hand by divers because of the beautiful underwater world very popular. Another highlight is a jump from the "Jump Rock". However, at your own risk!
