Waikiki at night

 

While staying in Waikiki, one should not go directly after dinner to the hotel. Even at night, the city district of the capital of Hawaii has to offer.

Along Kalakaua Avenue, which runs just behind Waikiki Beach, there are restaurants, bars and chic shops. The shops range from swimwear, to exclusive boutiques, leading brands such as Gucci or Hermes. Numerous restaurant chains such as

Aston Waikiki Sunset in Waikiki

We really like the Aston Waikiki Sunset in Waikiki, where we’ve stayed 7 times, and were very impressed with the Aston Mahana in Kaanapali, Maui (which we review in the Maui Accommodations section)… but we found the Aston Kauai Beachboy to be a real disappointment.
