THE PARC CAFE BUFFET
Our most recent visit, coming on the heels of a number of disappointing Honolulu dinners that cost just as much, or more, as the PARC CAFE's buffet (but achieving nowhere near the quality) made us appreciate the PARC CAFE all the more.
Across KALIA STREET and to the right from the Halekulani"s main entrance is its sister property, the Waikiki Parc Hotel. Its PARC CAFE has a superb dinner buffet that we've visited FIVE times, and each time the quality has been tops. (We've never been to the breakfast or lunch buffets though). They might feature carved to order prime rib, roast beef and/ or pork, charbroiled top sirloin, lamb and poultry.
The desserts are also outstanding, but they never seem to change from visit to visit. We'd like to see a little more variety in the dessert department, now that we're Parc Cafe Veterans. The chocolate mousse, bread pudding (one of the best bread puddings we've ever had) and coconut cake are all outstanding, and the make-you-own ice cream sundae bar is a lot of fun. You just can't go wrong at the PARC CAFE dinner buffet, boys and girls. Breakfast buffet: $11.50, regular lunch buffet $12.50, and dinner buffet $17.50. Wednesdays are Hawaiian food night. Call ahead to find out what the spread is: 921-7272. No view, but its a classy place, with a very respectful and efficient service staff.
