Bellows Beach is located 10 miles south of Kailua and is one of the better-known beaches in Hawaii. Directly on the beach is Bellows Air Force Station, a device recovery programs for members of the U.S. Air Force and their families offering.

The beach is characterized by a calm ocean, making it suitable for swimming. Even beginners in surfing or boogie boarding are very good here at their expense. In the border, areas there are also shady areas so that people can protect themselves well against the aggressive Hawaiian sunshine.

In the summer driving occasionally Portuguese galleys, a particularly dangerous jellyfish in


 
the water around in front of Bellows Beach. The encounter with a Portuguese galley would ultimately end very painful and in extreme cases even death.
