Waimoku Seven Falls & Pools on Maui
The largest Hawaiian Island of Big Iceland is not really known for its beaches - although there are beaches that are really worth seeing. I visited in January 2009 some beaches on the Big Iceland. Winter is certainly different than the summer months in Hawaii, I hope, but it can provide valuable information about.
Anachoomalu Bay (at Waikoloa) This is a real family beach between palm trees located with excellent sanitation. Even sailboats, boogie boards and other water toys can be rented here.
Kaunaoa Beach (Route 19 north, 31.5 Meilenabzweigung on Mauna Kea) Schonler This beach is a beach with white sand and clear water. Snorkeling can be on the left end
Spencer Beach Park (Route 19 north at the intersection of 270) Here we stayed one night at the campsite. The beach is crowded on weekends with families and offers all the sanitary facilities. Also a large pavilion for grilling and eating is available. (see photo)
The Waikoku Falls in the south of the island of Maui is above 130 meters. The approximately 2 miles long walk "Pipiwai trail leads from the south entrance of the park in Kipahulu through the rainforest with a giant bamboo grove. If the weather is rainy, you should observe good rain gear and shoes, as it sometimes can be very slippery.
If one is after about 2 hours long journey finally arrived, they discovered the giant Waimoku Falls in the distance. Here are some impressions of the Waimoku case and the way there.
